COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is intended for nurses who are taking care of oncology patients to give them the newest information related to cancer treatment; knowledge that will help them provide quality care and optimum patient education.
COURSE OBJECTIVES

Describe 2 tests to help identify patients that may or may not benefit from chemotherapy |

Explain 3 prognostic/predictive factors that used in determining treatment plan |

List 5 new drugs that were recently approved for treating cancer |

Explain new developments used in the surgical management of cancer |
| 6. |
Discuss at least 2 issues from current research related to cancer and nutrition |

Compare /contrast new imaging technologies in diagnosing cancer |
