Special Bay Area Tumor Institute
outreach efforts seek to provide underserved and minority
cancer patients with equal access to all Bay Area Tumor Institute
programs and services. Where cost might prevent a person from
participating in a program, special efforts will be made to
eliminate this barrier. The therapeutic research programs,
cancer prevention programs, and the support groups program
of the Institute are conducted with sensitivity to the cultural
backgrounds of the all participants.
